Historical Places
Gyeongbokgung Palace

Gyeongbokgung was the main palace during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910). One of five palaces in Seoul, it has a 500 year history. Gyeongbokgung is the most beautiful and grandest of the five palaces of the Joseon Dynasty.

Changdeokgung Palace

Changdeokgung Palace is composed of the public official space, the King's residence and the rear garden. It is the only palace that preserves the architectural style of the Joseon Dynasty. The rear garden used to be the King's resting place where 300-year-old trees, a pond and a pavilion are harmoniously organized with nature itself.

Changgyeonggung Palace

First built by the fourth ruler King Sejong (1418-1450) for his retiring father King Taejong, this palace was often used as the residence of queens and concubines. This palace is unique in that its front gate and the throne hall face east while those in all the other palaces face the south.

Museum
National Museum of Korea

The National Museum of Korea is the premier institution of Korean National Culture exhibits. There are approximately 135,000 relics, about 5,000 of which are exhibited to the public. It is a world-class museum with an Image Room, Image Information Guide, and other guidance facilities.

Agricultural Museum

The Agricultural Museum was founded to unearth and preserve the traditional agriculture by Nonghyup in November 1987. The museum possesses about 3,000 pieces of remains. It is divided into 6 pavilions in accordance with period and season.

Insadong Antique Artworks Street

Insadong represents the cross road of the old and the new of Korea. The lives of the old are alive in fragments in the antique furniture, china, sundry things that await the prying eyes. The galleries, the traditional tea houses, the antique shops, and the calligraphy shops provide the urbanites with a little world of wonders where life can be a little more down-to-earth.

COEX MALL

Itaewon Street

Itaewon Street is the most exotic place in Seoul, where you can eat, enjoy yourself, and go shopping, all under a 'fusion' cultural code. Itaewon has a long history of being the first place for foreign tourists to go shopping. This place was born with the posting of the American army forces in the 1970s, and developed into what it became today naturally as it catered to the foreigners living near by.

Myeongdong Street

Located in the heart of Seoul, Myeongdong is a representative shopping district in Korea. It also houses the headquarters of banks and securities brokers, and many western and traditional restaurants. All kinds of shops and restaurants are densely located on the main street with lanes which resemble the shape of a chess board.

Others
Cheongwadae (Blue House)

This is the presidential residence of the Republic of Korea. The symbol of the Blue House, which is at the center of Korean politics, is the blue tiles. As the Blue House represents Korea, the blue tiles and the smooth curve of the roof represents the beauty of Korea. Tours of Cheongwadae have been conducted since 1998. Reserved group tours of up to 30 are possible.

Namsangol Hanok Village

You can visit a village of traditional houses with a traditional Korean-style garden, a flowing stream and a pavilion in the woods at the northern edge of Mt. Namsan. This village was constructed in order to revive the classical feel of the ancient times. The scale of the houses is fixed, and they are decorated with furniture appropriate to the social status of the owners in order for the visitor to see and understand the social life of the time.

Lotte World

Lotte World is the place to be for entertainment and sightseeing in the center of the city. It is a theme park filled with thrilling rides, an ice rink, different kinds of parades, a folk museum, walk trails by the lake, and much more. Seoul Tower

The Seoul Tower, the third highest tower in the world, was opened to the public on October 15, 1981 and became a tourist attraction. On a clear day, one can see as far as the sea front of Incheon. At night, the panoramic view of Seoul's night scene is breathtakingly beautiful.
